The role of a director

Director jobs come with a huge amount of responsibility. Directors are legally responsible for the running of a company, and while they can hire employees to help with this, ultimately the buck stops with them. 

Directors handle day-to-day operations of a company, ensuring all statutory filing obligations are met, and that the business is in line with any legal regulations. There is also a significant difference between executive director jobs and non executive director jobs. Executive directors have management responsibilities within the company - they may hold job titles such as Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer, or Managing Director - while non-executive directors are appointed as chairmen to safeguard the company’s interest. Non executive directors do not have management responsibilities.
